Adventure Tours of Kanab offers half-day and full-day guided hiking and off-road adventure tours in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Our most popular destinations include The Wave (Coyote Buttes North), South Coyote Buttes, White Pocket, and Peekaboo Slot Canyon. Tours depart from Kanab, Utah and include expert local guides.
Yes. The Wave, located in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, requires an advanced permit issued through a lottery system. We guide successful permit holders and help ensure you get there safely and efficiently. If you secure a permit, we provide professional guided hiking services for your Wave tour.
Yes. South Coyote Buttes also requires a limited-entry permit. This area features incredible Navajo sandstone formations and fewer visitors, making it a stunning and peaceful hiking destination near Kanab.
No permit is required for White Pocket. However, access requires a high-clearance 4WD vehicle and experienced navigation. Our guides are much more than chauffeurs — we safely transport you through deep sand roads and provide educational insight into the geology and history of the area.
Our full-day tours are approximately 8 hours and include:
Professional local guide
Off-road transportation (when required)
Hotel pickup in Kanab, Utah
Safety and navigation support
Educational interpretation of geology and local history
Each tour is designed to maximize your experience in Southern Utah’s most iconic landscapes.
Our half-day tours last approximately 3–4 hours. Peekaboo Slot Canyon is a popular half-day option, known for its vibrant Navajo sandstone colors and close-up canyon formations.
All tours depart from Kanab, Utah. We offer hotel pickup within Kanab for your convenience.
Most tours are moderate in difficulty, but we can tailor the experience to your fitness level. Some hikes, like The Wave, require moderate endurance. White Pocket is less strenuous but involves off-road travel. Contact us to discuss the best option for your group.
